MUSIC
Virginia grew up in a very musicl household. Her dad played guitar and her family would often have "jam sessions" where everyone had a part. There was always live music in her house, whether it was her brothers' garage band practicing, or her parents and their friends filling the house with music. Her siblings are all very musically talented, constantly working their craft, sometimes even performing live.

Since the day she turned 19, she has been a regular in the karaoke scene, especially when it came to going with her mom. Their favourite past time was hitting up "Gulliver's" in Courtenay (Now the Flying Canoe) almost every Thursday and Sunday. She competed in "Valley Idol" in 2009 on Vancouver Island and landed in the top ten.

Her love of writing poetry encouraged her to learn an instrument herself, so she could start writing her own music. One day when she was visiting her Mom, she found her brother's electric ukulele in her closet. She decided that the ukulele would rather be played than collect dust, so she took it without asking. Teaching herself strumming techniques and chord movements via Youtube, she has spent the past 3 years working on her ukulele skills, tuning her songwriting talent and avoiding the whole "ukulele topic" with her brother.
